Manual quote

Custom investment casting, made in Morocco and delivered to Africa and Europe

Investment casting reproduces complex geometries with accuracy and surface finish close to machining, without draft and with little finishing. It suits steels, stainless, superalloys and copper alloys, for parts from a few grams to a few tens of kilos: valve bodies, fittings, pump parts, levers, food-grade and medical components.

Wax patterns are injected in an aluminium tool for series, or 3D printed for prototypes and small quantities. The manual quote separates the wax tool, part price by quantity break, finish machining and inspection.

Materials

304L and 316L stainless, carbon and low-alloy cast steels, CuSn12 bronze; nickel and cobalt superalloys on consultation.

  • Stainless 304L
  • Stainless 316L
  • Aluminium AlSi7Mg (EN AC-42100)
  • Cast steel GS-45 / GE240
  • Bronze CuSn12

DFM rules

  • Wall ≥ 1.5 mm; little or no draft; undercuts acceptable.
  • ISO 8062 CT4 to CT6 tolerances; Ra 3.2 to 6.3 µm as cast.
  • Radii ≥ 0.5 mm; avoid long narrow blind holes (ceramic cores).
  • Tree and gating defined by the foundry: allow machinable gate zones.

Quality and documents

Heat certificate with chemical analysis; dimensional inspection, dye penetrant and radiography depending on part class; roughness checked on request.

Related finishes

  • Bead blasting
  • Polishing
  • Heat treatment (quench, temper, case hardening)

Capacities, series and lead times shown are orders of magnitude matching the network target; they are confirmed on each quote according to the selected shop. No prices are displayed on these pages.

Frequently asked questions

What accuracy in investment casting?
ISO 8062 CT4 to CT6, i.e. ±0.1 to ±0.3 mm on small parts; as-cast roughness Ra 3.2 to 6.3 µm.
Can prototypes be made without a wax tool?
Yes, with 3D-printed (castable resin) patterns for a few parts, before investing in the tool.
What are the geometric limits?
Walls ≥ 1.5 mm, long narrow blind holes are difficult, isolated heavy sections to avoid; gating requires provision for gate zones.
Does investment casting replace machining?
It greatly reduces it; only seats, threads and sealing faces remain to be machined.
