Custom blanking and punching, made in Morocco and delivered to Africa and Europe

Blanking and punching produce flat or lightly formed parts from strip or sheet: washers, mounting tabs, brackets, terminals, blanks for bending or drawing. For short runs a CNC punch replaces the tool; for volume, a progressive die blanks, pierces and forms in one press stroke.

The DSSF engineer arbitrates between laser, punching and a dedicated die according to annual quantity and required tolerance, and structures the quote as tooling plus part price by quantity break.

Typical manufacturing lead time
1 to 3 weeks without tooling; 6 to 12 weeks with a progressive die
excluding transport, confirmed in the quote
Quote mode
Structured manual quote
Analysis by a DSSF engineer, tooling and part price itemised; no automatic price.

Blanking and punching

Materials

Mild and galvanised steels, stainless, aluminium, brass and copper in strip or sheet, thin to medium gauges.

  • Aluminium 6061-T6
  • Steel S235
  • Stainless 304L
  • Steel sheet DC01 (drawing quality)
  • Aluminium 5754 (sheet)

DFM rules

  • Punch diameter ≥ thickness (steel); ≥ 1.5 × thickness (stainless).
  • Edge-to-hole and hole-to-hole distance ≥ 2 × thickness.
  • Specify burr direction and cosmetic face.
  • Progressive die: amortised over volume; compare with laser for small quantities.

Quality and documents

Main dimensions and burr direction checked as standard; initial samples and monitoring plan for production dies.

Related finishes

  • Anodizing (aluminium)
  • Powder coating
  • Zinc plating
  • Hot-dip galvanising

Capacities, series and lead times shown are orders of magnitude matching the network target; they are confirmed on each quote according to the selected shop. No prices are displayed on these pages.

Frequently asked questions

Punching or laser: how to choose?
Laser is more flexible for complex contours and one-offs; punching is faster on repetitive holes and allows formed features (louvres, embosses).
What tolerance in blanking?
Around ±0.1 mm with a dedicated die, ±0.2 mm in CNC punching; burr depends on punch-die clearance and wear.
What quantity justifies a progressive die?
Generally several thousand parts per year; the engineer calculates the break-even against laser or CNC punching in the quote.
Can parts be delivered zinc plated?
Yes, electrolytic zinc plating, hot-dip galvanising or powder coating are included in the quote.
