Custom 3d printing sls, made in Morocco and delivered to Africa and Europe

Selective laser sintering (SLS) produces isotropic, tough polyamide parts without supports, allowing complex geometries, living hinges and nesting of dozens of parts in one build. It is the preferred additive process for short runs of end-use parts.

Glass-filled PA12 adds stiffness for mechanical parts; black dyeing and smoothing improve appearance. DFM analysis checks minimum walls and flags closed cavities needing powder escape.

DFM rules

  • Walls ≥ 0.8 mm; add powder-escape holes for closed cavities.
  • Functional clearance ≥ 0.3 mm between printed mating parts.
  • Large flat areas: warping risk, prefer ribs.

Frequently asked questions

What accuracy in SLS?
About ±0.3 % with a ±0.3 mm minimum; large flat areas may warp slightly.
Is SLS suitable for series?
Yes up to a few hundred parts: unit cost falls with build nesting. Beyond that, injection moulding becomes relevant.
Are SLS parts watertight?
They are slightly porous; impregnation or coating is required for liquid tightness.
Which finishes?
Matt grey as built, black dye, vapour or chemical smoothing, painting.
